What do religious people mean when they refer to a soul? Coming from a Christian background, I have spoken to many people about the soul and what it is... except, I have never been any closer to understanding it. Within my Catholic school, I was educated on religious terms, but their definitions have always been so vague that I have never gotten an understanding of what religious people mean when they refer to a soul. Quite frankly, I think that religious people are as clueless as I am when it comes to understanding what the religious terms they use actually mean, the soul being one of them. What do you think? Okay, so today I had a conversation with a friend about religion. They were a Christian, but stopped practicing and has now begun to again. They were telling me that it began to when they prayed about getting good results in some important exams. However, I was surprised to find out that they had promised God to convert me to Christianity, or a religion of some kind. Naturally, I told them that they were on, so I will be focusing on religious arguments for a while. Please tell me any religious arguments you would like me to cover.
